Calories tell you what.
Energy tells you when.

MacroMotive estimates the energy curve of a meal — the rise, the steady window, and the likely fade — then places it beside your day so timing becomes easier to reason about.

You have 45g of protein left today, with Push Day in about three hours.
Greek yogurt with a scoop of whey would close most of the gap without feeling too heavy. Want a full meal idea instead?
What about after the lift?
After training, a protein shake with banana is a simple option. Adjust the portion to fit the rest of your day.

FAQ

Questions, answered

How accurate is photo-based logging?

Photo analysis provides an estimate, not a measurement. MacroMotive separates the foods it detects and lets you correct items and portions before saving. For packaged food, barcode and nutrition-label scanning can provide a more exact starting point.

What is the energy curve?

It is an AI-assisted estimate of how a meal's mix of carbs, fiber, fat, and protein may release energy over time. It is designed for planning and reflection, not blood-glucose measurement or medical use.

Does the coach actually use my data?

Yes. With your permission, replies can use your logged meals, goals, coach memory, and relevant Apple Health context such as workouts, sleep, HRV, resting heart rate, and VO₂ max.

Do I have to connect Apple Health?

No. Health access is optional and read-only. Manual meal logging and core nutrition features still work if you choose not to connect it.

Is it free?

The app is free to download. Pro includes AI coaching and meal scanning with a monthly allowance; continued usage after that allowance uses a lighter, faster model. Current plan details appear in the app.
